Biography
Former Rwandan army lieutenant who lived as a refugee businessman in Mozambique and was a prominent figure in the Rwandan refugee association. Had previously warned authorities of alleged plots against him.
Circumstances
Shot dead near his home in Matola when gunmen intercepted his car; police said he was shot multiple times. UNHCR called for a thorough investigation. Community leaders said he had warned of threats linked to Rwanda and had survived an earlier alleged attempt.
