Political assistant to opposition leader Victoire Ingabire. Had completed a multi-year prison term before his death.
Circumstances
Shortly after completing a roughly six-year prison term, his body was found dumped in a forest in March 2019, reportedly showing signs of strangulation. Human Rights Watch and other monitors publicly reported the killing of the opposition activist.
